Tom Huntington is a Senior Editor of American Heritage and a frequent contributor to Invention & Technology. His writing has also appeared in Smithsonian, Civil War Times, America's Civil War, Yankee, America in WWII, and many other publications.
Tom has written three books: Ben Franklin's Philadelphia (2005). Pennsylvania Civil War Trails (2007), and the upcoming Searching for George Gordon Meade: The Forgottten Victor of Gettysburg (2013). All three are published by Stackpole Books.
Tom served as Magazine Editor of Air & Space for ten years and also edited Historic Traveler and American History magazines for Cowles, which was acquired by Primedia. He also was editor/publisher of HistoricTraveler.com, a combination print insert/website.
Tom earned a Bachelor of Arts in Cinema, History and Criticism at University of Southern California.
