Ken Cupery is a systems and optical engineer who retired from Eastman Kodak in 2002 after 35 years. Subsequently he worked under contract to the Space Systems Division of ITT.
Ken has been obsessed with paper boats since an article in The Small Boat Journal caught his attention In the 1980's. It was about Jack Hazzard who had built a paper canoe, using brown paper and glue. With a little research he quickly discovered that the leading (and almost only) 19th century paper boat firm of Waters & Sons had been located in Troy, NY.
If you have any information on the Waters family or paper boat making, or if you'd like a bit more information he'd be happy to provide it. You can email him at "paperweb" (at) "cupery (dot) net".
