Carolyn Wyman is the author of a biography of Ella Fitzgerald and six food books, including The Great Philly Cheesesteak Book, Better Than Homemade, Spam: A Biography" and Jell-O: A Biography. Her nationally syndicated Supermarket Sampler column appears in newspapers across the country.
Her writing has also appeared in the New York Times, Los Angeles Times, Philadelphia Inquirer and the Boston Globe. She has discussed the Keebler Elves on NPR’s "Morning Edition," fed her famous "clothes dryer shrimp" dish to comedienne Rosie O’Donnell and once appeared in the National Examiner sitting in a shopping cart full of groceries.
