Walter Minchinton was a professor of economic history at the University of Exeter, England. He authored or edited numerous books including of Devon at Work Past and Present, A Guide to Industrial Archaeology Sites in Britain, Industrial South Wales, 1750-1914: Essays in Welsh Economic History, and Windmills of Devon.
